The look of the floor can be altered a large amount depending on the direction of the slats, whether they are laid horizontally or vertically.
A style that is fairly general in the bamboo flooring market is known as the strand woven which is essentially shredded, then glued together, then cured so that it’ll stick together again. This produces a particularly heavy floor which can stand up to terribly high-traffic. The failing to this kind of floor is that it needs a great amount of glue to put the floor together, thus makers may employ a less expensive glue that contains raised levels of formaldehyde. , this type of floor is not highly recommended.
